[As you step out of the funhouse, blinking against the strong sunlight, it may seem at first that you've wound up back where you started. The carnival with all of its joys and wonders still stands, the Ferris Wheel looming majestically over Mayfield...

...except, did it always look that new and shiny? And it's not the only thing that got a makeover either; it seems like everything in the carnival has been fixed up from its previously rundown state. Fresh coats of paint gleam from every stand and every ride, and there isn't a spot of rust or a broken board anywhere in sight. At the entrance of the carnival hangs a large banner that reads:

Welcome to Mayfield - the Happiest Town on Earth!

Just how long were you exploring the funhouse for, anyway?

And as you start taking in the changes, you may notice one other minor difference: there are no drones to be found anywhere. It seems like the only other living beings in this place are your fellow townspeople who also entered the funhouse...well, that and the large, vicious looking rats that scurry around from place to place. But don't worry, there aren't that many of them and they only come out at night! So go ahead and enjoy having the carnival all to yourselves; after all, with all those minor safety issues fixed up, what could possibly go wrong?

The back exit of the carnival leads to a small street with four standard Mayfield houses and its church at the end. Attempting to leave the carnival via the entrance (although we can't imagine why you would) will only wind up looping you to the end of this street. Where the rest of Mayfield has gone, well...who can say?]

Wow! That's amazing! A very nice choice of weapon!

Eheh... Thanks. I usually use a stick, but this works well enough when I need it to.

[Lucas will turn back towards the prizes.]

There's a lot of stuff here... I wonder who they thought was going to take it.

[Gakupo looked to the prizes as well.]

There doesn't seem to be anyone operating this. Are we supposed to play fairly?

I guess it's an honor system.

[He'll begin to meander down the rows of assorted objects.]

Some of these prizes actually look like they'd be valuable. None of it is very useful, but...

[He'll pick up a stuffed bear.]

I'd play for this.

Even I wouldn't expect much honor from this town.

[The prizes do look pretty nice, but nothing that would suit him. He'd probably get it for his sister or Rarity. He looks behind the booth and sees a series of levers and buttons.]

Maybe I can operate this so you can play...

What kind of game is this?

You have to use this water gun and shoot a spray of water into the clown's mouth. The water makes the balloon fill up with air somehow. Usually other people are competing to fill the balloon to bursting first, but since no one is here right now, you can take your time!

Alright. I can give it a try!

[Lucas heads around back to the front of the stand to examine the water gun. He'll squint a little to see how far away his target was.]

Hm... But if no one else is playing, I can't possibly lose, right?

Right! [Tilts head to one side.] Why? Did you want competition?

Well... It doesn't seem fair. I might as well just take what I want if that's the case.

How about you have fifteen seconds to fill the balloon to bursting?

Ah, that's more fair. ...Maybe it's too long, though. How about ten?

Sure, then then. [Gakupo gets to his position behind the bar.] Ready?

Right! OK, whenever you want to start!

[Lucas will lift it up and begin to aim.]

Set...GO! [He pushes a button, which makes an alarm go off and the water ready to be shot ouf of the gun!]

[Pshhhhhh........ Wait no it was dribbling all over the floor Lucas tries to readjust it frantically. ...He probably sprays Gakupo at some point. At the four second mark he will find the sweet spot and then spray as hard as he can!!

Does he make it?!?]

[OH HEY HE'S NOT A BALLOON! Okay, now the water is going into the balloon and it's filling up nicely so far! Just a bit more...

Meanwhile, Gakupo is brushing the hair from his face before starting a countdown.]

Three! Two! One--

[POP!]

Hooray!

[Lucas throws his hands up in victory. ...Oops his finger is still on the trigger. ...Oops he might squirt you again in his haste.]

A-Ah! Sorry.

[Oh, he is not a happy camper.] Are you done? [SIGHS] What prize would you like?

Aha...

[Glowing a little red, Lucas will lean forward to examine the selection. ...He'll take a stuffed bear.]

This one.

...But I want to give it to someone. Is that OK?

Of course! That's more than okay! [That nice gesture cools off Gakupo's sour attitude at being covered in water. Twice.]

OK!

[Lucas thrusts it forward toward Gakupo.]

You were here because you wanted to take a look, too, right?

[He blinks in confusion at the gesture. Is he...giving that to him?!]

To the carnival? Well, yes. It was my sister's birthday, as well.

Ah, I meant the prizes here. But that's even better! Which sister is it?

Oh, yes, that too. [Smiles] Her name is Gumi. She has green hair and is pretty self-centered.
