day 5

[The fifth day doesn't dawn at all. In fact, the sky simply isn't there anymore; the only thing visible if you look up is pure black nothing. Most of the carnival itself is no longer visible, having been blanketed by thick white fog; any attempt to enter said fog will result in your body rapidly disintegrating. The street at least still seems to be intact, but with no way out and the fog slowly creeping in, who knows how long that'll last?

Luckily, it seems like the cavalry has finally arrived.]

(OOC: This marks the last day of the event! Anyone who has won a prize from Mayfield's carnival will be able to access both Mayfield and this area through the funhouse, and will be able to take one person with them on each trip they make. If your character is not rescued by the end of the day, they will be disintegrated by the fog and will wake up the next morning in Mayfield with the standard revival effects. You are free to comment in this post regardless of whether your character signed up for the event.)

What's going on?! Where are we going?! [Not even bothering to struggle because that would be a waste of energy.]

Is that what's going on?! [He looks back with a terrified look.] FASTER!!





Wait, where's Gumi?!

[roadroller]

Eeh?! We thought you'd know! ♪

[but they are certainly going to run as fast as their little robot legs can take them!]

♪ Rin... if you can handle him on your own, I could go back and look for Gumi?

[thepurpleway]

[While he would have stopped to look for Gumi, he isn't sure if they should separate to do so. Not like he can say much being spirited away.]

I haven't seen her in a day or so.

[roadroller]

We can't turn back now, the church is still dissolving! ♪

[also she probably can't carry Gakupo on her own]

[roadrolling]

♪ All right. Let's just keep going.

If we find her on the way, great! Otherwise, we've just gotta hope she can get by on her own.

[good thing Gakupo's probably too weak to fight us on that]

We all know she isn't going to get by on her own! [Dread settles into the pit of his stomach and he does begin to struggle. Weakly.] I'm not leaving her behind!

[roadroller]

[oh no you don't. Rin locks her arm tighter around his.]

What're we supposed to do?! We don't even know if she's in there! Stop that! ♪

[him exhausting himself further is the last thing they need, honestly.]

[roadrolling]

[Len follows suit. not getting out of this, Gakupo]

♪ Listen, right now there's one of you we know we can save! But if you fight us, we won't even be able to do that!!

Don't you think Gumi would want us to save her brother?!

[thepurpleway]

[NO! Stop making sense! STOP THAT!

He does stop struggling, though, after listening to their logic. Plus, they're really strong. There is a sigh as he just goes wherever they wish.]

...do you really think she'll be okay?

[roadrolling]

[well. this still seems like Mayfield, and the revival machine does still work, and the people in charge probably like toying with them too much to kill anyone off for good...]




♪ Yeah. I think she will be.

[roadroller]

Maybe she accidentally found her way back to Mayfield. I can see that happening. It's sod's law. ♪

[continues to drag. Rin really doesn't want to think about Gumi's fate.]

[He's willing to swallow that. It was very plausible.]

Ah, that could be right. [Best family ever.]

[roadrolling]

♪ So let's worry about getting ourselves out of here right now!

The funhouse was where this all started, right? I bet if there's a way back, that's where it'll be.
