[The fifth day doesn't dawn at all. In fact, the sky simply isn't there anymore; the only thing visible if you look up is pure black nothing. Most of the carnival itself is no longer visible, having been blanketed by thick white fog; any attempt to enter said fog will result in your body rapidly disintegrating. The street at least still seems to be intact, but with no way out and the fog slowly creeping in, who knows how long that'll last?

Luckily, it seems like the cavalry has finally arrived.]

(OOC: This marks the last day of the event! Anyone who has won a prize from Mayfield's carnival will be able to access both Mayfield and this area through the funhouse, and will be able to take one person with them on each trip they make. If your character is not rescued by the end of the day, they will be disintegrated by the fog and will wake up the next morning in Mayfield with the standard revival effects. You are free to comment in this post regardless of whether your character signed up for the event.)

[Unfortunately, she doesn't really have that luxury right now, and Yuna's not going to take no for an answer. It's a good thing she works out and runs every day, because she's going to need to run as fast as her feet can carry her back toward the funhouse. Which is exactly what she's doing.]

Yeah, the whole place is falling apart. There's this crazy fog everywhere and the sky is pretty much just gone. I can get back through the funhouse, but I'm not sure how long this place is going to hold up, so we have to hurry.

The fog... is it really that bad? It was like that when I first arrived. And the sky started getting sort of patchy as days went on...

And it's just here? Regular Mayfield isn't affected at all?

The carnival started falling apart as the week went on, but it's nothing like this. Who even knows what's gonna happen if people don't get out of here before it all collapses.

Probably take everyone with it, like this place seems determined to do... at least the carnival back in Mayfield is far enough from all the houses.

Ugh, and they'll probably leave no clues behind either... I don't know if the others found anything else, but as far as I can tell, there's no explanation behind all of this...

There probably won't be one. Most of what Mayfield does doesn't make any sense anyway. They just like to kill us.

[Yuna's off on a full sprint toward the funhouse now, just about to reach the outside.]

[It looks like they're in the clear, but Hakuno doesn't lighten her grip at all. There's no telling if there are any other tricks this town has in store for its residents...]

But they have to leave some kind of clues sometimes, right? Or else people couldn't have gathered as much information as they have by now.

Maybe, but even if there was something, it's way too late to play detective now. Who knows how long this place has left.

[Charging into the fun house and past the broken mirrors, Yuna runs straight through to where she came in, setting Hakuno down gently.]

You gonna be okay out here while I look for Heather?

[Hakuno's head swims as she's shifted - boy she's glad her stomach is empty so she can't vomit all over Yuna - but she still manages to smile.]

Yeah, I'll be fine. Assuming the guys in charge don't destroy this place or something...

If they do, I promise I'll kick their asses for you.

[She laughs.] Thanks, Yuna. I'll hold you to that promise.
