day 5

[The fifth day doesn't dawn at all. In fact, the sky simply isn't there anymore; the only thing visible if you look up is pure black nothing. Most of the carnival itself is no longer visible, having been blanketed by thick white fog; any attempt to enter said fog will result in your body rapidly disintegrating. The street at least still seems to be intact, but with no way out and the fog slowly creeping in, who knows how long that'll last?
Luckily, it seems like the cavalry has finally arrived.]
(OOC: This marks the last day of the event! Anyone who has won a prize from Mayfield's carnival will be able to access both Mayfield and this area through the funhouse, and will be able to take one person with them on each trip they make. If your character is not rescued by the end of the day, they will be disintegrated by the fog and will wake up the next morning in Mayfield with the standard revival effects. You are free to comment in this post regardless of whether your character signed up for the event.)

Yes? Are you okay? Do you need help, or know someone who does?

[He sounds a little on edge.]
All we gotta do is get to'a Funhouse? There's an exit'ere?
no subject
It's the only way back it seems at the moment, so I'm trying to get everyone to go there. The fun house still has some things in it, but with people showing up and gathering, they should be able to hold them back while others get out. I could take you there if you want though, my armor might be able to hold off any attacks until we can get a hold of someone to take you through!
And then once through, I can look for your friend! I can ask other people about them to while I search!

[—who knows, even this 'droid could be some sort of deadly illusion set up by the town ... but he's not paranoid enough to refuse an offer like this. If it is a trap, he'll cross that bridge when he comes to it. So—]
... Ahright. Yeah, ahright, let's do'at.

On the way we can keep an eye out for others too! Maybe we'll find Caesar and can take them along as well!
no subject
Ahright. If we come across Caesar or somebody in trouble, though, I'll switch out of'a pod with 'em.
[Balin's psyche might be frayed from a full day of falling through nothingness and he's not very well off physically from two more days of living off of giant rats with no real source of water, but he suspects he's gotten off lucky.]

[Tachikoma turns around and opens the doors to the pod on its back.]
Climb in! My monitors are working now too, so you can see everything I see too!
[The monitors it speaks of are three long thin video screens fitted into the back of the pod, essentially allowing for a 180 degree view of the area.]

[Damn is the interior nice, though, especially these monitors. Almost reminds him of the kind of setups he'd heard about used by hardcore gamers before Earth fell. Though, as he settles in, he realizes the 'droid said they're working now—]
Were'ey not workin' before?

[Once Balin is fully in the pod, Tachikoma will close the doors and start rolling towards the Funhouse.]
Sorry about the delay, had to focus on something else!
Are your weapon systems even'ere? Did you check?
[Though that probably counts as a hardware issue, Balin has a hunch about this.]
S'okay, took me awhile to get back to this, obviously. >.>
Oh yes, the machine guns are still in my arms, though I don't have any bullets for them currently. Oh, and my grenade launcher is still in place, port and all!
It's all good :D I can backtag fo' DAYS. (As evidenced by this being a over a month later!)
An' you're sure it ain't just not havin'a ammo? You can't even dry fire?
