welcome to mayfield: day 3

[Those who wake up in the town on the third day will soon notice that something's definitely off. The cracks in the sky are appearing more frequently and lasting for minutes at a time, and there's a strange white fog drifting over the clouds.
For those who've just arrived, welcome to our new little town! We're sure you're glad to see your missing friends again; nothing to worry about here, they've just been too busy enjoying the upgraded carnival to go back home. Any bleeding limbs or serious wounds you may spot are obviously just a sign of how much fun they've been having.]
OOC: If your character damages or affects the carnival or town in a noticeable and normally permanent way, please comment here.

Hol and Natalie may feel an odd tingling sensation on their skin. Other than that, they feel fine...]

[Her hands immediately snap forward, gripping the edge of the carriage as tight as she can. Rattling and shaking this high up was not a good thing. And tingling fog... she grimaces and narrows her eyes.
And then she looks to Hol. What's his reaction?]
no subject
Well then...]
What... what was that?
no subject
Both Hol and Natalie have physically aged about fifteen years.]
no subject
Oh. It's clearing. She can see him again. And...]
You...
You look older.
[And so does she. Her dirty blonde hair is shot through with the early grey she'd have had, if she hadn't stopped aging. And her eyes are a bit more sunken, her skin a bit more dry.]
no subject
... Same goes fer you...
[His good eye shot from the left and to the right as his mind raced. There was no one to -stop- the ride...]
... I think... I think I'd like t' get off the ride now...

[She passes a hand over her face, as if she could possibly feel the changes. Which... she can't, and it's kind of useless. Later, later, worry about it later... they were on the descending pass, and just about to start rising again.]
Yes! Excellent idea.
[One moment later she's on her feet. The next moment, she's leaping for the platform. It's an awkward leap and a bad landing, all of her weight coming down on her right arm.]
Aaaaah!
no subject
Aw, hell...
[Approaching the ground now... he moved to stand up himself and prepared to jump at a safer distance. Being able to only see out of one eye happens to mess with a person's depth perception. Just a bit... and he miscalculated his jump. It was a nice try though! His right leg took most of the weight from the fall and he wasn't too pleased.
At least they were off of the ride.]

[Natalie was hardly concerned with Hol's landing. Her own was bad enough that she was certain that her arm had broken. She hisses, bares her fangs, grits her teeth, and pushes herself into a sit with her other arm.]
A waste... what a waste...
[She remains sitting there, eyes unfocused, willing herself to heal the injury. Although she does turn her head in the cowboy's general direction. He hadn't broken his neck, right...?]
no subject
... That... that wasn't ...
[Clearly that wasn't a way out.]

[He used so few words. It was as though he was afraid of running out of them. She turns herself, putting more of her attention right on Hol as she sat and willed her arm to mend.]
no subject
That wasn't a way out...

[A tiny hiss, and she stretches her arm out. Her fingers flex, she twists her wrist about, and seems satisfied. All better. All healed. And it only took about half of the vitae in her system...
She's up to her feet quickly.]
I've got to go.
