[Those who wake up in the town on the third day will soon notice that something's definitely off. The cracks in the sky are appearing more frequently and lasting for minutes at a time, and there's a strange white fog drifting over the clouds.

For those who've just arrived, welcome to our new little town! We're sure you're glad to see your missing friends again; nothing to worry about here, they've just been too busy enjoying the upgraded carnival to go back home. Any bleeding limbs or serious wounds you may spot are obviously just a sign of how much fun they've been having.]

[The evening descends, and Natalie rises from vampiric sleep, curled up in one of the closets. She's rumpled and irate when she emerges, but hey. Wouldn't anyone be?]

Breakfast, breakfast...

[She drifts through the house, grabs the piece of floorboard that she's been using as an all-purpose stuff-smacking tool, and heads to the backyard. A rat? Several rats? Excellent. She's fast enough to rush in and thwack one over the head, stunning it long enough that she can pick it up and sink her fangs into its little neck. It's not much, but it's a start.

And then she takes the carcass back inside to skin, and spit, and then roast on the stovetop. Alas, there's nothing to season it with... but maybe roasted rat will draw in the hungry and pitiful.

A better breakfast may well be on the way.]

The rides tend to disappear every once in a while, like they're phasing out.
