welcome to mayfield: day 2

[Day two of whatever this place is dawns bright and cheerful. Not much seems to have changed; the carnival is still standing, the town still empty of drones, the sky still bright blue and --
-- hang on, what was that? Did some sort of crack just appear in that patch of sky?
...oh, it's gone now. Must have just been your imagination. Anyway, there's no time to waste staring aimlessly at the sky, not when there's more friends showing up! Lucky there's more than enough food to go around, eh?]
OOC: If your character damages or affects the carnival or town in a noticeable and normally permanent way, please comment here.
OPEN! If your character was on the list of characters arriving on Day 1 or Day 2, they may comment here. All questions belong here.

...not that it's getting him much of anywhere, whoops. at least he can follow his trail of blood droplets back once he gets too irritated, but for the time being, feel free to run into him standing with his hands on his hips and appraising the corridor he's in, or punching through another mirror just for stress relief! this? definitely not how he wanted to spend the weekend.]
no subject
Why?
Because he's a fucking dick that's why.]

before he actually manages to crane his neck far enough to see that he knows who this loser is.]
You-- I'm going to throw you to the rats, you absolutely ridiculous overgrown tweed-wearing clumsy numbskull! [a pause] Why are you even here? I told you to stay away from the funhouse!
no subject
Just couldn't resist having a peek around! And look, I managed to find a friend. Off to a good start already.
no subject
That isn't a good start, and there shouldn't be a start at all. Honestly, have you learned nothing from your stay here? Stop baiting foul luck, you moron.

Went for a swim in the tunnel of love.
And that's only yesterday! Haven't gotten started today yet.

Charles?!

again]...Ah, I see I'm not the only one unfortunate enough to have taken a wrong step in the funhouse.
no subject
There's quite a lot of us, from what I've seen.
no subject
he'll shake glass from his hand before placing it against his hip, looking in the direction he had just punched through.]
Ciel is here, and I've spoken to a few others as well. It seems we aren't as severely limited here as we've been in the past though, so that much is a blessing.
no subject
He's watching Charles' hand heal with a curious expression, he's never seen the weird shotapire's healing ability so close at hand (pun intended).]
We're also stronger from all being here together, we're much more capable when providing a united front.
no subject
he seems pretty focused on the exit so he doesn't catch the stare, but the healing process is a fast one. not really clean like a wound just sealing itself back up, but the cuts are shallow enough that not a lot of bubbling takes place anyway.]
Which will undoubtedly mean that they'll start picking us off one by one until there are only a handful left, and they'll increase the obstacles until even those people begin to drop like flies. [his nose wrinkles] If the previous patterns can be trusted, at least.
no subject
Not all of us, they'd never kill us all. I won't let them.
[Believe him, he will find a way to make sure Abel doesn't die.]
no subject
You're aware that it's the only way back into town at times, are you not?
no subject
There are always other ways, you just have to find them.
no subject
Don't allow your optimism to turn into stupidity. Death is hardly permanent here one way or another, so it isn't a great tragedy if that happens to be the only door.
no subject
[This is perhaps the easiest that Charles has managed to get Cain to break through his mask to show real emotion, frown at his face and anger in his eyes... with perhaps the slightest hint of fear buried there.]
no subject
You'll come to understand which of us is wrong in due time.
no subject
I know. But until then, you shouldn't be so quick to throw your life away.
no subject
That's an assumption to make. I'm not going out of my way to ensure my bloody demise, you know. I'm simply acknowledging the fact that, based on personal experience, death generally precedes escape whenever we're transported to places outside of the main town.
no subject
That is just a roundabout way of saying you've accepted your own death already, which is unacceptable.
[Or not.]
no subject
he pinches the bridge of his nose in an exasperated way, but his attention is only half on his loser companion now. he's got
mirrors to breakthings to do, after all!] No, it isn't. You're still viewing it as a true death, which is inexcusable given the amount of time you've been in this city.(no subject)
