[Day two of whatever this place is dawns bright and cheerful. Not much seems to have changed; the carnival is still standing, the town still empty of drones, the sky still bright blue and --

...oh, it's gone now. Must have just been your imagination. Anyway, there's no time to waste staring aimlessly at the sky, not when there's more friends showing up! Lucky there's more than enough food to go around, eh?]

Sorry. It's pretty secretive in my world, and there are other people in this town who have been involved in it too. I went through a lot just to be part of it, and it's not really something I like to talk about.

[That's actually his first hint that there's more competitors involved than just summoned heroes. Up until now, if Balin were to think about it, he might conclude that Kariya was a referee or part of the staff on hand for the tournament in some way.]

Guess it would be. Bringin' anybody back from'a dead's a big deal. Gilgamesh aint'a only one I've met who's from'at tournament, though. I mean, aside from you.

At'a time Mayfield was puttin' us in other people's bodies. But yeah. Dunno what Alex's deal was, he just said he was a "servant summoned for'a Holy Grail War." The Koo guy goes by Lancer, though.
