[This carnival seems to be getting less and less maintained by the day. Your nerves aren't the only thing fallen apart: what were previously holes in the sky have expanded to cracks. What parts of the sky that haven't fallen into that strange, warping nothingness are full of brown smog-like clouds.

The carnival itself has become filthy, with trash and grease spots littered everywhere. The walls of the tents, wooden stands, and houses seem to be slightly melted, for lack of a better term. The holes of corrupted nothingness aren't confined to the sky anymore: pockets of nothing litter the carnival, shifting tears in the fabric of reality that hurt your eyes to look at.

A faint buzzing noise fills the air, making it difficult to concentrate. If you listen long enough, it starts to sound like voices. For your own sake, it's probably best not to listen to what they have to say.

You're also not alone here anymore, for those of you operating under the assumption that you ever really were. If you've been missing the friendly drones of Mayfield, fear no more, because scattered throughout the carnival are a few drone families seeing the sights, riding the rides and playing the games. Curiously, unlike the drones back home, these ones don't seem to notice you at all, acting as if you're not even there.

Also curiously: their features are warped nearly beyond recognition. Some are missing limbs or facial features; others appear to have had those features scrambled by Picasso's paintbrush, with mouths on their scalps or teeth on their fingers. Still other drones appear to be fused together at the wrist, or waist, or face. None of them seem to be any more aware of their deformity than they are of you.

...and yet, somehow, you can't shake the feeling that when you're not looking at them, they're looking at you.

New here? That's alright; your missing friends have had plenty of time to get acquainted, and they'll be happy to show you around. Just watch your step, because some of these old rides need some maintenance...]

(She hasn't lost that much of herself just yet. She's keeping her fire concentrated on the stands, rides and generally away from everyone else trapped there. Even as she glances at Hajime, she's keeping her shots away from him.)

Push has come to shove, Hajime. I grow tired of playing by their rules; this all started because of that transmission...and this carnival coming to town. I say destroy what came with all of these problems!

(Which means more shots going around the general area. Again, she's taking care to leave Hajime out of it, but given how angry she is, that might not last long.)

[Really, he's tempted to join in. But given the state of his bow and lack of Rouse Cards, joining in properly would mean Joker...and as badly as he wants to see this world ended, he's refusing to go that far. She might be able to distinguish between friend and foe. He wouldn't.]

Works for me. They need to learn they can't just toss us around like this and expect us to take it.

[He jerks his head towards the houses.]

While you take care of that, I'm going to see if I can get to the bottom of what's in 501.

(She'll nod quickly before proceeding with her attack on the carnival itself. This place really was getting her and it sure felt great to get back at it.)

Be careful, Hajime; that house is capable of more than you think.

(That place got to poor Chell and Kreutzer is still upset about that. Here's hoping he can survive...)

[He hefts the bow.]

I'm ready for a fight, at least...and it's impossible to kill an Undead. I'll manage.

[Not like he really knows how this place will treat an Undead given how everything else is screwed up...but it's worth a shot.]

Remember that this place will do everything it can to stop you. It took away your undead body when you arrived, remember? It might do that again just to be safe.

(A thought that effected Kreutzer as well. If they took away all of her powers, she'd be royally screwed. Might as well put them to use while she still could.)

If that happens, I'll manage. I've still got experience, and battling Undead tends to prepare one for...oddities.

[Really, on some level he'd be relieved if they took away his Undead body again. Reality falling apart seems like just the sort of thing that might spur Joker into acting. Just one more reason for him to act fast.]

Then keep at it. It's all about fighting fate, right?

(Something he told her that actually stuck in her mind. She'd at least try to last as long as she could without her powers, so there was no way she wouldn't go down without a fight.)

[If his expression were actually visible at this point in time, it would have been one of surprise followed by a slow smile. As it is, his body language probably displays a bit of surprise.]

That's it exactly.

[He nods towards the destruction.]

(Kreutzer continues her path of destruction, blowing things up as she normally would when very very angry. It's nice to witness this and not have it aimed at you, isn't it?)
