[Those who wake up in the town on the third day will soon notice that something's definitely off. The cracks in the sky are appearing more frequently and lasting for minutes at a time, and there's a strange white fog drifting over the clouds.

For those who've just arrived, welcome to our new little town! We're sure you're glad to see your missing friends again; nothing to worry about here, they've just been too busy enjoying the upgraded carnival to go back home. Any bleeding limbs or serious wounds you may spot are obviously just a sign of how much fun they've been having.]

[After Edward falls ill from a rat bite, Luke takes it upon himself to go hunt for food and maybe even medical supplies. He's managed to find himself a knife, and is currently hunting for rats. The water he's been drinking and the lack of food is really slowing him down though.

He spots one scurry past, and lunges for it, missing completely. Anyone in the house will hear a loud thump! as he lands.]

[Rin has no idea what's been going on for the past two days, so of course, when she pokes around in the house and spots Luke lunging at a rat from behind...]

Uh - what are you doing? ♪

[hintcoinplz]

[Luke looks like he's seen better days. He just curls up a little and tries rubbing his eyes, resisting the urge to cry. He can't feed himself, he can't even take care of Edward after he got hurt protecting him.

His voice is quiet when he talks.]

...Finding food.

[roadroller]

O-oh.

[Maybe she should have taken a closer look before she spoke. Rin steps closer, and then realizes - to her knowledge, it should have been the same day.]

Wait - huh? How long have you been here? ♪

[Did she step into some kind of time portal? How can things have gone to hell this fast?

Although Luke might be interested to notice that she has a sword hanging from her belt. Better rat-slayer y/n?]

It's been...

[How long has he been here again? He has to think about this for a moment.]

Three days, I think.

[roadroller]

But... that doesn't make sense. I was just-

[ah, but looking at his state, maybe that doesn't matter so much.]

Well, never mind. So you're hunting for bugs or something? ♪

Mm...anything that can be eaten, that is. So far it seems the only thing we can eat are rats.

[roadroller]

Oh... There were a lot of those in the funhouse basement. I think they like the dark. ♪

[hintcoinplz]

They do like the dark, it seems.

Don't let them bite you. They make you sick.

[roadroller]

I'll be fine. I got my robot frame back! ♪

It doesn't look like you're gonna catch it that way, though. It ran away... maybe they have a nest somewhere. ♪

...Can we break the walls? Maybe we can find them in there.

[And as soon as what he says sinks in, he's mildly horrified. Destroying a wall for rat meat?

No, no, he had to do it. He wasn't the only one who needed to eat.]

[takin' the sword off her belt]

Hmm, you should probably stand on a chair or something in case they all come pouring out. ♪

[roadroller]

[and then she stands frozen with her sword for a moment after she realizes how gross what she just said was.]

[There does seem to be something moving in the walls.]

Um, right.

Hear that? We should break the wall open now.

[roadroller]

Mm, okay... ♪

[Rin narrows her eyes, listening to the sound in the walls. Then she plunges the sword in - hoping to hear like a squeak or something.]

[The wall opens. There's something in the wall-- a corpse. It seems to have belonged to a woman, but now it's rotten and decayed. Its face is contorted in a scream and it smells terrible.]

[hintcoinplz]

[Luke leaps back, covering his face and trying not to be sick.]

AGH!

[roadroller]

[Rin also recoils, pulling with her the sword and a bit of the corpse.]

Noooooo! ♪

[that was a high-pitched shriek.]

[There are scratch marks all over the walls.]

W-what...

What are dead bodies doing in here?!

[roadroller]

How should I know? Who the hell is that?! ♪

... What do we do with this ... ♪

[hintcoinplz]

We...should probably bury her.

[And Luke leans closer to the wall, reaching out to touch the scratches.]

[As Luke touches the wall, his fingers will dissolve as though soaked in acid.]

[The searing pain immediately causes him to yank his hand back, but the burning and agonizing pain continues.

He screams.]
