welcome to mayfield: day 2

[Day two of whatever this place is dawns bright and cheerful. Not much seems to have changed; the carnival is still standing, the town still empty of drones, the sky still bright blue and --
-- hang on, what was that? Did some sort of crack just appear in that patch of sky?
...oh, it's gone now. Must have just been your imagination. Anyway, there's no time to waste staring aimlessly at the sky, not when there's more friends showing up! Lucky there's more than enough food to go around, eh?]
OOC: If your character damages or affects the carnival or town in a noticeable and normally permanent way, please comment here.
OPEN! If your character was on the list of characters arriving on Day 1 or Day 2, they may comment here. All questions belong here.

[There she is! He and Abel have been looking for her, especially after remembering she had been in the mirror maze as well. Abel is somewhere nearby, inspecting things for danger.]

She catches sight of him first.
The ring helps.Emotion immediately returns to her face, and she doesn't so much as hesitate before hopping down from there to greet him.]Cain! [On one hand, he looks fine. On the other, he's here... Gah. But for now at least, he's in her line of sight. She quickly comes up to him before huddling over.] ...My, you've ended up here too. How are you feeling? [is he ok, etc. She'll fret forever, deal!!]
no subject
I'm fine, I don't think I've seen anyone hurt yet, have you?
[Maybe this wasn't as ominous as it seemed on the surface? He can hope...]
no subject
I haven't either, but I just got here, maybe... 10 minutes ago, at the most? What about you?
[no don't jinx us now, Cain....!]
no subject
[At least they're all together, this has to be a positive.]
no subject
May I ask what all of you plan to do now, Cain?
[She thought of saying more, like giving example of investigating or staying put, but ultimately decides to hold her tongue. No need to give him ideas; ideally, she'd like for them to all keep to themselves until all this subsides: it has to, sooner or later.]
no subject
I think the most sensible thing to do, would be to find supplies and a secure place to stay.
no subject
She nods, eyes bright because that's like the best thing she's heard all day.]
I haven't had a chance to look yet, but what's at the Carnival is definitely bad. You can go on without food for several days as long as you resist the hunger pangs, but water can be a real problem. Have you gone outside the Carnival yet, Cain?
no subject
Not as of yet, although I think it's wise. The carnival itself seems to be a hotspot for unusual activity, especially as it's where we've all arrived. I think it would be safer to leave as soon as possible.

Can you give me a moment, then? I wanted to go to the top of the Ferris Wheel to get a good look of the whole town below. I should be able to see everything from there, and I'll be careful with my footing. I'll let you know what I see, if you can wait for a few minutes?
no subject
[Seriously? They already all did one stupid thing by coming through the funhouse, why would she add to that?]
no subject
[She smiles back. As hard as this may be to believe, it really isn't being overly cocky, she seriously has the skills. He doesn't know how high up she can jump, probably isn't aware that she just so happens to specialize in aerial combat, there's that too. It'll take more than a Ferris Wheel with vanishing parts to get to her, now!]
no subject
I'll go back to Abel, I think. I don't want to leave him alone too long here.
no subject
That's true too. I'll let you both know what I find the next time we meet, then. Be careful, okay? That goes for Father, too!
[she won't have any broken bones by then, just missing a tongue...]
no subject
Right! You take care too, I'll see you later.
no subject
I will. Hang in there, and see you later! [Waving him off, then! That done, brb top of the wheel...]
