welcome to mayfield: day 3

[Those who wake up in the town on the third day will soon notice that something's definitely off. The cracks in the sky are appearing more frequently and lasting for minutes at a time, and there's a strange white fog drifting over the clouds.
For those who've just arrived, welcome to our new little town! We're sure you're glad to see your missing friends again; nothing to worry about here, they've just been too busy enjoying the upgraded carnival to go back home. Any bleeding limbs or serious wounds you may spot are obviously just a sign of how much fun they've been having.]
OOC: If your character damages or affects the carnival or town in a noticeable and normally permanent way, please comment here.

Oi, whats with the attitude? You spill my shit and then you don't even explain yourself? What's the matter, take a vow of silence or something? Fuck you!

[For the first time in a long while, Ciel feels her own patience thinning. She could certainly write out an explanation, but that takes time, plus she has to get close and somehow make the blonde woman READ her note. And with Panty's replies and attitude so far?
...
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Showing to someone else just exactly why she can't speak isn't something she's done yet, but short of bearing direct witness, a person like Panty may just not get the message.
So opting for the short and direct explanation, Ciel keeps her deadpan look and opens her mouth. Wide enough for Panty to clearly see, even at a distance of one or several dozen feet:
Her tongue is missing. The wound is no longer fresh and raw from yesterday, but it being just... not there, that should at least concisely clarify on just why she hasn't said a single word yet. Won't be doing any talking anytime soon either, not with that sort of injury.]

[Something about seeing...that took most of the wind out of her sails. She just didn't have the energy to fight over something that was already gone. She still wanted an answer though.]
You still owe me an explanation, I don't give a fuck if mayfield took your tongue.

Pulling out a notepad from the sleeve of her habit with a pen clipped on it, she'll flip to a white page, pop the cap, and start writing. After a few seconds, Panty will be handed the following note:
The delivered milk would kill you upon consumption. It's common knowledge in Mayfield.
Fairly straightforward, and the blonde woman in front of her, while seeming somewhat reckless, didn't really struck Ciel as the suicidal type. She's probably right about that bit at least, is she?]

What? Not common enough since I didn't know about it.
[there's a very long pause before she says anything again, and its much quieter, almost said under her breath.]
Thanks then, I guess.

It's fine. Don't ever touch the milk delivered by the Milkman in Mayfield. The milk at the groceries is safe though, under normal circumstances. If you're desperate, people have been hunting the rats down as source of food and liquid. No averse effects have yet to be noted. Avoid the food stand at the Carnival however, consuming may take away any internal organ or part of the body that the substance comes in contact with.
'Under normal circumstances' because there's no groceries here, obviously... And yep, the last part would include intestines, stomach, tongue, and so on. She's not gonna list them out, but the idea should be clear.]

[she's far too dignified to eat a rat. her stomach disagrees though as it lets out a rumble.]
dammit.

It's your life, miss. This entire place is a death trap, what precautions to take to stay alive are left at your discretion.
She stopped her this time, but who knows if anyone'll be around for the next...]

Tch, Whatever.
[she hands the pad back and walks off, away from the church.]

RE: it's her life. God knows if she'll make it out of here alive, and until that comes clear at the end...
Well, at least Ciel has done what she could.
After a few more seconds, she'll turn her back also to go back inside the Church.]
