welcome to mayfield: day 3

[Those who wake up in the town on the third day will soon notice that something's definitely off. The cracks in the sky are appearing more frequently and lasting for minutes at a time, and there's a strange white fog drifting over the clouds.
For those who've just arrived, welcome to our new little town! We're sure you're glad to see your missing friends again; nothing to worry about here, they've just been too busy enjoying the upgraded carnival to go back home. Any bleeding limbs or serious wounds you may spot are obviously just a sign of how much fun they've been having.]
OOC: If your character damages or affects the carnival or town in a noticeable and normally permanent way, please comment here.
Threadjacking with permission from Olivier's mun.
(If there is any sign that this other mayfield is backward as hell, its that Cade is the the responsible one.)
He spots Olivier in a puddle of milk, dragging herself to the window.]
"NOOO!"
[He rushes over to Olivier, chanting the Words of Majesty as he rushes over.]
Hope this is ok!
Damn milk. I lost one of my pistols along with my flashlight in there.
Re: Hope this is ok!
[Cade channels the healing power of his spell into her. The spell, normally, heals injured flesh and purges toxins and poisons, though it tires the patient out a bit. But who knows if it'll work with whatever the hell this milk is doing?
Cade sees that the front door is open, picks Olivier up, and is going to try and get her out of here now if possible.]

No, leave them, I have another pistol with me.
[She's having trouble staying alert, but she's not in as much pain as she was just minutes ago.]
no subject
"Okay, how are you feeling? I haven't had to test my magic against this town's weirdness yet."
no subject
[She's not sure how long she was out for before he got there, nor how long he was in there before finding her.]
Nothing happened to you, right?
no subject
[Cade looks her over.]
"Where does it hurt, exactly?"
no subject
[She grits her teeth at having to admit she drank the milk. The milk of all things.]
And thank you, but you should make sure not to act too rashly in the future just to save someone.
[Even though she would have done the same had he been in trouble.]

[Cade observes her pained expression and starts unbuttoning her jacket.]
"I'm going to give you some more healing, okay? Just relax."
no subject
[She's quiet a moment.]
And maybe going in alone was stupid, but something was in there. I am quite capable when it comes to fighting, but sometimes, I forget to remind myself that this is Mayfield and it does more than play dirty.
[She tenses up a moment when he starts unbuttoning her jacket, but relaxes at his explanation.]
I guess I look like I still need it, huh?
no subject
"Well, honestly on the outside you look fine, but I can tell you're in pain, which probably means I didn't heal all of it. I already used the Majestic Word on you, so any toxins should be taken care of, but maybe you're a bit more torn up inside than I realized."
[Cade's hands glow with a golden light as he puts them on Olivier's stomach and uses his Lay on Hands, channeling a sensation of warmth and pleasure into her and the magic mends any damaged flesh inside her.]
no subject
Thank you, but what else does that healing of yous do?
[Her tone is more inquisitive than the usual snappy one would get with that sort of question.]
no subject
"Uhm, well it just channels the power of the White Well. Some also call it positive energy, or life force. I can use it mend wounds and purify poisons and diseases. And I guess it just feels really nice, too; they call that the 'healing euphoria'."
[Cade looks her over again as he continues.]
"There are people much more skilled with it than I am back home- some can even bring back those who died recently. And not as zombies or anything, they revive them in perfect health!"
no subject
This is too strange for my liking.
no subject
"Not liking euphoria is definitely strange, but at any rate you must admit it is better than being cut open by a field surgeon."
lol
Though, I will agree that you're right about it being better than having to be worked on by a field surgeon.
Re: lol
"You know, there is a difference between letting emotions 'take over' and letting yourself enjoy things from time to time. You really think anyone who matters would dare think you any weaker because of it?
It was nice hearing you laugh."
no subject
Although, I do assume that once my country's government is changed and settled, I may have to win over the people, and I'm not much of a people person when it comes to the average citizen.
[She is glad he called it a laugh, and not the giggle it was.]
I do laugh every now and then.

I don't know if it would be any useful in the end. We may not even remember this place once we do get to go home.

"I'll hold you to that."
