welcome to mayfield: day 3

[Those who wake up in the town on the third day will soon notice that something's definitely off. The cracks in the sky are appearing more frequently and lasting for minutes at a time, and there's a strange white fog drifting over the clouds.
For those who've just arrived, welcome to our new little town! We're sure you're glad to see your missing friends again; nothing to worry about here, they've just been too busy enjoying the upgraded carnival to go back home. Any bleeding limbs or serious wounds you may spot are obviously just a sign of how much fun they've been having.]
OOC: If your character damages or affects the carnival or town in a noticeable and normally permanent way, please comment here.

[But Henry looks up to Olivier, Cade and Jenny. He remembers Vivio's words of getting in the way and people wanting to keep him safe and not focusing on finding clues. So he shakes his head.]
I'll be okay. And it was just a crazy clown....

In the meantime, Cade is curious who the boy saw.]
"Did you get a good look at who was here? Was it the woman from the pictures in the tunnel?"
no subject
[Jenny's brow raises at that.]
You still have the gun I gave you?
[If there were crazy clowns running loose around here she damn well wanted Henry to be armed.]

[He looks to Cade.]
No, all I saw was a foot. I didn't see their face.
no subject
"Well, what was the foot wearing?"

Why don't you lead us to where you last saw it? Maybe we can find a clue there.
no subject
[Even a kid thinks this is silly Cade.]
It was a bare foot...but yeah sure I can show you.
[He nods to Oliver about leading them to where he last saw the figure. Pulling out his flash light he turns it on and starts heading into the tunnel, the light shining down it and illuminating the shadows.]
no subject
"Okay, you can lead us, but the ledge is narrow, and I'm taking point, unless anyone has any objections."
[Cade looks at Olivier and Jenny.]
no subject
I'll take point, one of you keep an eye on Henry.
[She points at the boy.]
No arguments.

You stay in the back, you're the healer. I'll be right behind Henry.
no subject
Well Henry certainly hears the voices.]
I hear voices...
no subject
"Yeah, me too. Let's go."
[Cade has his sword in his right hand and his loaded revolver in his left, just in case of ambush.]

Stay close. No sudden movements. Could be one of those clowns Henry saw ... Or that woman who's pictures are plastered all over here.

If it's that woman, I want at her first.
no subject
Shhh! I can't hear them.
[He steps closer, behind Jenny, towards the sound, listening extremely hard as to what the voices are saying.]

Richard! There you are.
Were you looking for me, doctor?
Sort of. I guess I just wanted to get your opinion on this whole thing. Have you changed your mind?
Let’s just say when Mr. Zemekis promised us a “world free of pain and fear”, a circus wasn’t exactly what I was expecting.
That’s not really what I meant, Richard.
I know what you meant. I don’t really know how to answer your question, though. It’s a bit too soon to say, isn’t it?
[The two voices continue speaking, but the sound is getting further and further away. If the group wants to hear more, they have no choice but to follow...]
no subject
Stay close.
no subject
Be careful.
[As quiet of a whisper as she can give without altering the voices to them, but loud enough for at least Henry to hear. She knew there was something going on here. Were they stuck in an alternate time. Why would the owners of the voices be hiding from them?]
no subject
When Jenny wraps his arm around him, he stares ahead as they start moving. Taking the rope offered to him by Olivier he remains quiet. ]

"Uhm, what am I supposed to do with this?"
