welcome to mayfield: day 3

[Those who wake up in the town on the third day will soon notice that something's definitely off. The cracks in the sky are appearing more frequently and lasting for minutes at a time, and there's a strange white fog drifting over the clouds.

For those who've just arrived, welcome to our new little town! We're sure you're glad to see your missing friends again; nothing to worry about here, they've just been too busy enjoying the upgraded carnival to go back home. Any bleeding limbs or serious wounds you may spot are obviously just a sign of how much fun they've been having.]

OOC: If your character damages or affects the carnival or town in a noticeable and normally permanent way, please comment here.

[Henry is covered it gashes and cuts at the moment. That tumble with the clown has left him pretty beat up but nothing really that could cause death. But they look nasty.]

Oh...sorry. [He just wanted some company. He's been kind of scared too and he noticed Rapunzel is probably a bit scared too. He takes a seat down beside her.]

I'm okay.... [Just scared.]

But I'm a little hurt. It's just a bunch of cuts though.

[hairflyingheartpounding]

Oh! [She wasn't quite awake enough to notice his injuries at first; without water or food beyond marshmallows, and limited sleep, she's sort of dazed.] Henry, you poor thing... What happened?

...And you don't need to be sorry. Really.

Here. [Well Henry's going to notice your obvious hunger and thirst. He pulls out a juice box and a pear handing it to Rapunzel. The pear seems to have a circular cut taken out of it, like it had been shot threw cleanly.]

It was some sort of clown....it was attacking some people I knew.

[hairflyingheartpounding]

...Oh, Henry. No, you keep them, okay? You need to take care of yourself.

Speaking of which...

[She will just. Be covering him with her hair, like a blanket.]

...A clown, huh? Creepy.

It's okay. I brought enough to share. I haven't had anyone to share with anyways.

[He's not taking no for answer. He just puts them in her lap.

But, he looks curiously at her as she puts her extremely long hair on him.]

What are you doing?

[hairflyingheartpounding]

...If you insist. Thank you, Henry.

[She smiles and pats his head.]

I'm going to heal you now, okay? Just... Trust me.

[theboywiththebook]

No problem.

[Yay, pats.]

Really? Your hair can do that?

[He's pretty amazed by that. So he's going to sit in anticipation. After all, when does he get the chance to see magic? Not much.]

I trust you.

[hairflyingheartpounding]

It can, and I'm glad you do. That really does mean a lot to me.

[She begins to sing, then, her healing incantation; her hair glowing from the roots down to the tip.]

[He watches her sing and suddenly, her hair is a light and spreading down. As it moves down her hair that's lying on him, he feels like he's being bathed in sunlight. Not burning sun during a boiling summer day. No, just the warmth of it on a nice spring afternoon. A moment ago he felt like he'd pass out from exhaustion, but now he's feeling revitalized and refreshed. He looks to his hands and the wounds on them have begun knitting closed, painlessly. He can only guess that the ones on the rest of his body are repairing as well.]

[hairflyingheartpounding]

[Once she's done singing, she pulls her hair away.]

Feeling better?

Yeah, lots!

[Henry looks at her for a moment curiously.]

....Is that why you were locked in a tower?

[Sorry Rapunzel, he still has a feeling you're like the same one from the fairy tale.]

[hairflyingheartpounding]

...Oh.

[Rapunzel sighs and nods.] But I... I'm still not the one in your fairy tale book.

Are you sure? Do you know anything about the Evil Queen and the curse?

[Just making sure.]

[hairflyingheartpounding]

I promise you I really don't, Henry.

[theboywiththebook]

Hmm...I guess so...sorry.

[It's a bit of a let down but Hey, he's talking to Rapunzel. So that's good.]

Anyways you better eat. You look hungry.

[hairflyingheartpounding]

Okay.

[She picks up the pear, then... Pauses, and holds it up to her face so her eye is peering through the hole. She's trying to be a bit goofy for Henry's sake, but she's also curious.]

What happened here?

I think that action figure I took from the games stand did it. It vanished and took part of my bag with it...thankfully it was on the outside.

So don't touch anything from the stand.

[hairflyingheartpounding]

Oh, that's good to know. Thank you.

You're very brave, you know. Did you meet Audrey yet, back in the normal Mayfield?

Not really, I just do what needs to be done.

But, I don't think I have.

[hairflyingheartpounding]

That is brave.

She's my daughter, you know. The way the town does it. She's really brave, too. Older than you, but I'll introduce you two.

Thanks Rapunzel. But you're brave too.

Yeah, I'd like that. I should introduce you to my dad than, the Mayfield one. I think you'd like him.

[hairflyingheartpounding]

Hmmm. Thank you, Henry.

Oh? What's his name?

Akira Date. He's a doctor in Mayfield.

[hairflyingheartpounding]

I think I could get along well with a doctor, don't you?

[She manages a giggle, gesturing to her hair. This is... Nice. This is relaxing her and making her feel somewhat normal.]

It's kind of too bad you didn't end up being my son in Mayfield, though, I have to admit. You're a good kid, Henry.

[Henry laughs a bit at the little joke too.]

Yeah definitely.

[But to be Rapunzel's kid? That's kind of weird. Not weird as in 'Oh God that's creepy.' More like 'I have two moms already, do we need to add a third?']

I think my Emma and my mom would have something to say about that though.

[Probably not so much Emma than Regina.]
