[Those who wake up in the town on the third day will soon notice that something's definitely off. The cracks in the sky are appearing more frequently and lasting for minutes at a time, and there's a strange white fog drifting over the clouds.

For those who've just arrived, welcome to our new little town! We're sure you're glad to see your missing friends again; nothing to worry about here, they've just been too busy enjoying the upgraded carnival to go back home. Any bleeding limbs or serious wounds you may spot are obviously just a sign of how much fun they've been having.]

[Kariya comes running over, having been in the middle of searching around the church area himself.]

Hakuno! What happened?

I don't... [She hisses. Wow this is bleeding a lot...] I don't know. I was sleeping, and suddenly it felt like I got stabbed or something...

Hold still.

[Kariya reaches down and tears off a piece of cloth from his shirt, doing an admittedly somewhat clumsy job of bandaging her leg. All he really knows is to tie it off tightly to prevent any more bleeding, but it should hold her for the time being.]

I'm no doctor, but I think that should help.

[Hakuno does as he says, biting down hard on her lip. It hurts, worse than when she had been poisoned by Archer, but she does keep still. Even when he finishes tying up the cloth, she doesn't move her leg just yet.]

Thanks... [She looks around as she wipes her hands on her skirt, trying to get the blood off.] There's nothing strange in here... what could have happened?

I don't know. I thought this was the only safe place around.

Is anywhere truly safe in a place like this, though? [She frowns.] But everything is still normal. I don't hear anything strange... and nobody else is panicking.

[She swipes her hands over her skirt one more time, and her hand catches at a hole, right over where the mysterious wound appeared.]

... Huh?

What's wrong...?

[Kariya looks down, his face paling as he notices the hole as well.]

W-what the...

This wasn't here before... [She frowns a little as she picks at the hole, and it deepens when she notices that it's only about the size of her pocket.]

Wh... hey! The necklace is gone!

[PRIORITIES, HAKUNO.]

Is that the pocket you were keeping it in?

[She nods.] Yeah... [She shifts around in her seat, checking the area near and under her.]

It's totally gone. It couldn't have just fallen out of my pocket...

The bag I had disappeared overnight too, actually.

... That's pretty strange. But it doesn't really explain how this happened... unless the items exploded or something, disappearing shouldn't cause any damage to the things around them... right?

Normally, no, but this is Mayfield. This sort of thing probably isn't that strange here.

Yeah, you're right. [Ugh, this place...] Every time I think this place can't get stranger...

[She nods.] Yeah! I think so... It hurts, but that wasn't really a vital area... I'm sure I'll be fine.
