[Those who wake up in the town on the third day will soon notice that something's definitely off. The cracks in the sky are appearing more frequently and lasting for minutes at a time, and there's a strange white fog drifting over the clouds.

For those who've just arrived, welcome to our new little town! We're sure you're glad to see your missing friends again; nothing to worry about here, they've just been too busy enjoying the upgraded carnival to go back home. Any bleeding limbs or serious wounds you may spot are obviously just a sign of how much fun they've been having.]

[He takes a piece of the swan boat and tosses it experimentally. He was certain he only broke a few of them in his explorations, certainly not the whole fleet. Perhaps someone had followed in his footsteps? Or... his actions taken the furthest extreme by some trick of the town.]

Well, different is to be expected. Things change when acted upon by force. The problem is, it's a little too different.

[she stops momentarily, to tie her skirt in a knot and hop down into the tunnel water, a small orb of light drifting off of her finger and into the darkness.] ...do you believe the town acted in your "absence" so to speak? You were the one who dismantled a few of these boats yesterday, were you not?

[And he's quiet, shivering slightly as he's up to his knees in cold water for the third day in a row.]

And the town took what I did and replicated it.

Do you suppose they were trying to make a point?

[boy is he glad to see the Doctor still alive and kicking. or throwing chunks of swanboat around, as it were...]

I broke these boats yesterday. Well, I broke some of them, mostly on accident by the way, not the entire fleet. No more than three and now [He waves his arms about. Supposedly this indicates the entire room.]

They're all broken now.

I'd have believed it if you told me you had broke the entire fleet on accident. [despite the deadpan look and tone, he's just teasing! mostly...]

Do you think that has any significant meaning? The boats, I mean. Some of the damage I did yesterday has stayed that way as well, but I don't think it was made worse overnight.

Dunno. If things we do are being replicated, multiplied, the whole carnival might end up being destroyed before we can escape back into town.

Any time. [but that second statement makes him look a little more wary. he glances back at one of the boats.]

Do you think so? I haven't seen a great deal of damage yet.

Perhaps because no one's caused large amounts of damage. We're generally explorers, finders, not destroyers.

Though the food stand looked a right mess when I passed it.

I'm certain most people are wary about breaking large objects after that revival mechanism fiasco.

[except Charles apparently, who almost smiles at the statement.] I did the most thorough job I could on such short notice.

Unruly? I'm crushed that you would even suggest such a thing. I was simply doing everyone a favor. [he tries to keep his expression serious, but there's a tiny hint of a smile]

Someone's got to inspect the damage and I doubt it's going to be you.

I'm a nurse, not a carpenter. [ And not eager to explore anything papered with Mrs. Johnson's face, it's true. ] You're going to end up with some kind of disease. Risking foul and managing not to get hit with it can only work for so long.

It's just water, Rory. Slightly chilly water that goes down a mysterious tunnel that's pitch black and deep. That's all.

Besides, I'm a Time Lord and highly resistant to most disease. And actually I've been managing to not get hit for... well, practically all my life. Hasn't let me wrong yet.

It's a horrible waste of wood, is what it is! Why make it if they planning to break them all anyway?

[Crowley got into this place just today. He arches his brow at the destruction at the Tunnel of Love as he walks up, his single white wing nestled on his back.]

Looks like someone isn't too fond of swans.
